DC Splendor: Green Lantern (Hal Jordan)

Pt 2 of my JL heromatic redesign mini-side project. (My Splendorized version of JL... again)

Costume is an amalgamation of the traditional Hal Jordan suit as well as John Stewart and, my personal favorite, Kyle Rayner. I don't really buy the whole idea of the Ring adapting to wearer... not completely. I mean, really, the Ring not only adapts to the correct species (compared to all of the other different Lanterns out and about) but to his individual measurements. If that's not considered customization, then I don't know what is.

Also, in terms of the Ring being a cosmic-organic force I took that idea a step further. The Ring has a will of it's own and it chooses it's bearer based on his/her ability to carry out the Ring's desire (not necessarily who would make the best Lantern). All Rings operate like this and feed off of the energy/life force of the user. In the right hands (in this case, a person with strong will power) this relationship can be symbiotic (if not tolerably parasitic), but it usually isn't ("Especially those puny human things on the planet Earth." Humans are viewed as being weak because of young of a species we are compared to others in the Galaxy, specifically the Corps). I always felt that Hal was a tool anyway, so it just makes sense to me that the Ring would be more important than him anyway.

All that being said, there are a few elements of GL's costume that can be fixed/that I wanted to play with. I wanted the white gloves to look like they actually belong (even though I don't really care for them, personally). Speaking of colors, I wanted the costume to be shades of green... it makes sense (so does the black/white single color combo too, but I prefer this one).

Also, I forgot to add that the "battery charger" for the Ring gives the Ring enough energy to perform... otherwise it'll just suck the life out the Vessel (Lantern).
