When I was creating my entry for :iconnew-looks-4-all:\'s contest I chose to do [link] . I guess I still had Batman on the brain after :iconthecomic-book-clan:\'s redesign contest a few days prior.
I experimented with quite a few looks for the Boy Wonder. I wanted his look to be bright and flamboyant, sense he would be the most energetic characters of the piece, but I also wanted him to look like a rouge. Robin was the bright spot in the original Batman series, and I wanted to convey that feel in my entry.
I initially wanted to give him a hooded cape, but that felt too much like Batman, and too dark for his character. The cape was also a bit lengthy, and unnecessary, so I elected to give him a scarf. The scarf gave him enough of the vigilante feel without being
I eventually went with the one on the bottom middle because I liked the balance between the original Batman look (minus the scaly panties) and medieval assassin.
